Q) Do I need to install anything on the monitored servers?
A) No.
Q) Support contract, tell me more about how that works.
A) When you purchase our product you get free support (e-mail) and software updates for one year. After one year you will need to renew this upgrade protection period in order to receive continued support and updates. For those of you that are happy with your current version of our product and chose not to continue to renew the upgrade protection we offer an active support forum where you can ask questions and discuss our product with other users. Q) Does Intellipool Network Monitor require an external web server?
A) No, Intellipool Network Monitor has an integrated web server that supports both normal HTTP and encrypted (SSL/TLS) HTTPS.
Q) Do I need to install the Intellipool Network Monitor service with a Windows account with administrator rights?
A) No, by using the built in account manager monitors can be configured to use a specific Windows account during testing. This feature makes it possible for INM to execute on a minimum of required privileges.
Q) Is it safe to store account information in Intellipool Network Monitor?
A) All sensitive account information in Intellipool Network Monitor is stored encrypted on disk. In addition to this, all accounts are encrypted in memory.
Q) Is it possible to develop custom made monitors?
A) Yes, by using the Lua script monitor users can develop their own monitors by writing Lua scripts.
A large number of user contributed monitors has been posted in our support forums. We also provide a custom development environment for development of Lua scripts for INM that can be found in the download section.
Q) Do I have to reconfigure my settings created with the trial when I purchase a license?
A) No, just entering the license key will unlock the trial version and keep your settings intact.
Q) Whats the difference between Standard and Distributed Edition?
A) Both versions contains the same great monitoring features, in addition to that the distributed edition contains a unique gateway feature that enables Intellipool Network Monitor to monitor networks behind firewalls.
